Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst (DAAD), NY
International Poster Design Competition

I chose to explore the design typographically, using negative space of the letters DAAD to form a bold and dynamic background. The two A’s in DAAD point toward the tagline. The “X” created by the two A’s emphasizes the “X” in “xchange”

The colors are used to visually show the change by exchange: from Grey to Red. As if to say that the “grey” student will change to a bright “Red” student by studying abroad.
